Life According To My Phone

Here are our recent happenings based on the pictures that can be found on my phone!

Me at 34 weeks! We are now at 37.5 weeks roughly and have an appointment today to see how we are doing.
Dressing as cows for free chicken!
 Doing some creative arts!
Enjoying the play space at the mall!
Doing a little coloring while enjoying the view!
Enjoying the pool! I am trying to get the girls there as much as I can. I am having contractions pretty much throughout the day, but the pool does feel nice on these hot days.

Girl Time With Gran

Last week Gran came down to enjoy a little girl time at the aquarium before the baby comes. Geep had come down the Sunday before to go to a baseball game with Ben for "guy time" as Ellie called it and Ellie was excited that we had "girl time" with Gran a few days later. We had a great time showing Gran around the aquarium and enjoying all the fish. Ellie even worked up her courage to touch animals in the touch tank for the first time. We had talked about it for the days leading up to it and in the big moment she did it. I was very excited she was brave and actually did it this time! We then enjoyed lunch with Gran and Ellie allowed Daddy to meet us for lunch even though he wasn't a girl. ;) We are looking forward to seeing Gran in the hospital when our new little one comes! Thanks for the fun morning Gran!

Creative Projects

We love to be creative around here! I love to sew and do lots of art projects with the girls. I wanted to make pillows for the girls for their big girl room that they will share. Ellie already had two I made her when she was a baby but I decided to revamp them and add a third pillow. I also made Quinn 3 pillows to go on her new bed. I have always used pink and green with Ellie and we have accented it with yellow, as Ben likes to add in more than pink. With Quinn purple has been her color. For their bedding Ben wanted them to have different bedding so I went on a hunt to find Quinn one that had purple as a main color but still had some green and yellow like Ellie's. I found it and am excited to see their all put together when that time comes. The pillows of course highlight the colors that will be on their beds.

The girls also did some creative art. I like to make them sidewalk chalk paint and found a great idea to put it in squirt bottles like we use for icing our cookies. The girls had a great time painting the back patio and it turned out well. It is definitely a project I will do again with them as it was easy to make and enjoyed by all.

Quinn's Pillows (just sitting on our bed for the picture)
 Sidewalk Chalk Paint
My Artists (Not much for looking at the camera as they were busy creating their masterpieces!)

Baseball and Free Chicken

Last week we went to another baseball game downtown. Ben organized an event for middle school students and their families to go to a game all together and of course the girls and I went too. We love going downtown and doing things and this was a great way for us to get to know some of the middle school families. The girls did great and made it the whole game! It was also the night before Chik-Fil-A's big customer appreciation day. If you dress like a cow then you get a free meal and we love this day! I love it because I do not have to cook dinner. :) At the game they gave out hats to wear the next day which was great because then I did not have to make headpieces, which Ben was happy about. On Friday we dressed up and went to dinner! The girls like Chik-Fil-A, especially Quinny since she is a chicken eater!

Quinn decided to take a picture with us finally!

4 Weeks Left

We were at 35 weeks yesterday! We had a doctor's appointment and they did an ultrasound to check her weight due to my gestational diabetes and she is the perfect size. They estimate her at 5.8 lbs, but I have learned with my other babies that is usually from 1/2 a pound to one pound higher than the actual weight. They said it was the perfect weight and her heart looked great and she rolled around like they wanted. My numbers are good, my weight is great and I am measuring the perfect size. She is head down and at this point just adding a little weight while she cooks. As of yesterday we will have a baby in the next 4 weeks either when she decides to come on her own or the doctor makes her come on August 11th! Everyone has their preference of when they want her to come. I would like the end of July as she would be considered full term and completely healthy and it is hot in the summer. Ben would like her to come after August 3rd, my would like her to come on the 11th as it would be easier timing wise and my doctor wants her to come on August 11th so she can be the one to induce and deliver me. God knows the perfect time, so with a first name we are pretty sure about, we wait patiently. Ellie is getting more anxious every day. She has already told Quinn all about how I will go to the hospital and not to be scared because I will have the baby and they will come see her. Ellie also asks at least once a day if it is August yet. :) I am excited but Ben also reminds me to enjoy these last few weeks as it will be the last time I will experience pregnancy and a little one rolling around inside me as well as only two little girls running around our home.

This picture was from 34 1/2 weeks. Me and My Girls!

A Gooey Harvest

Last week Ben thought it could be time to pull our carrots. We let the girls each get one and they ate them for dinner. They both loved them and Ellie was very expressive about how carrots fresh from the garden are so delicious. She can't stop talking about how we need to grow some more.

Our tomato plant is also still producing tons of tomatoes. Ben is pretty surprised it has given as many as it has!

A couple days later the girls and I made some goo. Ellie loves to play with it an has always been pretty good about touching and playing with things that I make or try out. Quinn on the other hand does not like her hands to get dirty. She has always been that way and even when she eats cake, donuts or cupcakes she wants to wipe her hands after every bite (we are just now showing a little growth when we eat). I was like that when I was little, so I guess she comes by it naturally. She was all about the goo and very excited until she touched it and then she said, "I not like it!" and proceeded to cry. She was completely content to watch Ellie play with it.

Not a Fan! Not even sure that she really touched it that much.

Making Lasting Memories

We went to the splash pad today with our friends, Miss Caroline, Ethan and Kendall. We are sad it will be the last that we will go with them as their family is moving to Florida at the beginning of August. We are all going to miss them terribly. Caroline and I are great friends and can share things together that you only find in a few people in life. Ethan has been Ellie's best buddy her whole life as he is only 9 months older than her and Kendall and Quinny have grown to be best buddies too as they are only about a month apart and they both talk about each other even when they aren't around one another. It is a bittersweet time for us as we have shared many life moments as I have known Caroline before either of us were married and we were roommates. We have gone through big life changes together. When I told Ellie Ethan was moving away our sensitive little one began to cry as she realized he will be living in a place we can't visit every week. Though we are sad we are so happy for them to get the opportunity to move back to Florida and have new adventures and we hope to have the chance to visit them! And for Caroline and I phone calls, texts and emails will keep us bonded over the miles!

Quinny and Kendall (I love Kendall's hair!)
 Four Best Buds

Sisters (Quinny was stuck like glue to Ellie and Ellie was so sensitive to her needs, never once leaving her behind.)

 Best Buddies
Quinny wanted to snuggle on the train ride! Mommy didn't mind the extra love!
