Our Family

Here is a picture of our little family. It is missing Maggie, but next time we will be sure to include her and hopefully Ellie will give us a little smile next time :)

Springtime

Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to the past couple of weeks. We have enjoyed getting outside. We went to the park with Ellie's buddy Ethan and Ellie had her first experience feeding the ducks (well really Mommy fed the ducks), but Ellie watched. She is also learning to sit up on her own and loves to play in the exersaucer. This month we also got a visit form Geep and Gran and were able to get a family photo of our little family, which we don't have many of. Maggie and Ellie are also slowly discovering each other. In fact the past 2 days I have found Maggie in Ellie's crib. Once she was sleeping under the quilt by herself and the second time she was sleeping all curled up at Ellie's feet while Ellie slept. Next time I will try to get a picture. Ellie also loves going out to run errands and loves singing in the car. She is a wonderful little buddy for running errands. She is growing fast and learning to love new foods. In just 2 weeks she will be 6 months old and it seems like yesterday she just arrived.

5 Months Old

Today Ellie is 5 months old. The time has flown by and she is a wonderful blessing to our home. She is doing many new things. She is rolling all by herself. She loves to play on her playmat, her exersaucer, and loves sitting in her bouncer watching me cook. She loves to lay on the floor and play with her hands and toes. She can entertain herself and loves to do it. She is eating rice cereal and starting to look forward to it when I begin making it. She loves to touch and play with her toes. She is a great storyteller and singer. She is always telling Ben and I stories and singing to us in the car. She loves to go on walks, especially with her mom and dad. She is a wonderful cuddler with her mom and loves to give mommy squeezies. She loves mommy smooches and loves her daddy's voice. We love our little Elliebeans, or as daddy calls her his little elbows, and couldn't imagine life without her!

Little Miss Roly Poly

We have a little roly poly. Ellie started rolling over this week. She did it for the first time while I was at the computer and I got a picture of her after the fact. She is pretty proud of herself. We cheer after she does it and she smiles with satisfaction at conquering this task. Way to go Ellie, we are so proud of you!!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year. Being Ellie's first Easter made it very special. We also got to have some great family time as Ben was home a little more that weekend. We started by dying eggs a few days earlier. I loved to dye eggs as a child and couldn't wait to share that with Ellie, of course this year it was more for me :) Ellie started Easter morning with a great wake up. She woke up cooing and smiling in her new monkey jams that Ben found on sale. It was a wonderful blessing to hear the morning of Easter. Then we had our church Easter services at Verizon amphitheater and it was a beautiful time to be outside. Ellie got to wear her Easter dress that I got for a great deal at the consignment shop and she even got a visit from the Easter bunny who brought her her very own Easter basket. We then had a wonderful Easter meal at our friend's and neighbor's house. It was a wonderful day. We took a few pictures, many more than Ben and I usually do. We are trying to get better about pictures, but we aren't picture people. Hope you enjoy the ones we did take!
