Party Animals

Our little ladies have been quite the party animals. Many of their friends were born in February or the end of January and this is always a popular party time. They got to celebrate with their friends at some great parties!

Ellie was invited to her buddy Ethan's 5th birthday at the beginning of the month. Quinn gets to tag along since Ethan's sister is her age. We started with a tour at the fire station ad then we went to a local bakery and all the kids got to go in the kitchen and make their own pizza. While the pizzas cooked they also got to frost their own cupcake and the place also provided a cake. Ben said it was one of the best parties he has been to! He liked eating donuts with Quinn, since the place is known for donuts!

The next party the got to enjoy was at Paxton's party at Discovery Place Kids, which is an awesome hands on museum for kids. Paxton turned 2 and is more Quinny's friend, but Ellie loves to play with him, so they were both invited! We had a great time playing, eating cake and spending time with Paxton!

The girls also enjoyed celebrating their cousins' 7th birthday with a family party at their house! Ellie and Quinn mainly enjoyed playing with Kylie, but they also enjoyed seeing their boy cousins too! :)

14 Weeks

Our little one is at 14 weeks. It seems this time around I am showing a lot earlier than I did with Quinn. I guess the third time around the little one already wants to be known. For the most part things are going smooth. I have some different symptoms and already have gestational diabetes. I am on a special diet for the remainder of my pregnancy because of the diabetes, but the diet keeps the baby and I healthy and my weight low and disappears as soon as the baby arrives. Since I had it with Quinn, I know the routine so it is easier to adapt and like the dietitian said, the options out there are many more than when I had Quinn two years ago, so for food I have a larger variety to choose from. The girls continue to be excited and like to kiss the baby by kissing my belly. Quinny will also say "Hi Baby!" to my belly and she knows exactly where "Mommy's Baby" is. We are looking forward to my appointment in two weeks. The girls get to come with me for the first time and they will be able to hear the heartbeat.

The Greatest Show On Earth

At the end of January we took the girls to the circus for the first time. Ben found an amazing deal last January for tickets that were in the 5th row and we snatched them up and gave it to the girls for Christmas this year. Ben and I both went as kids and loved it and couldn't wait to take the girls. We parked a little past downtown and rode the light rail in, which Ellie LOVED. It was right downtown, so the girls loved that. Ellie's eyes were glued on everything going on, she did not know what to look at first. Quinn LOVED the animals and would smile and laugh whenever one came out. I tried to take a few pictures of the girls, but it was dark in there. We are looking forward to taking them again in the future!

New Addition

We are so excited to announce that we will be welcoming a new addition August 2014! Ellie can not stop talking about it as she has wanted me to be growing another baby in my belly for a little while now. Please keep us in your prayers as the pregnancy progresses for health for the baby and I. We can't wait to meet this new little one!

Just realized our new little one is waving to us!

Long Overdue

I have been missing from the blog for over a month. Time has gotten away from me and now it is time for a catch up. This post will include a mix of what has been going on in our lives and some long overdue posts.

In the beginning of January we celebrated Christmas with Ben's parents and had a great visit!

We have done some cooking in the kitchen! Ellie is a wonderful chef! She made mini pizzas for lunch!

Ellie and Daddy went on a breakfast date! They had a great time and Ellie apparently talked a lot about Quinn.

Doing a little painting! Quinny caught a stomach virus, which spread to Ellie and one of our wonderful volunteer leaders from MAXlife brought us dinner and activities for the girls to enjoy during that time. It was so thoughtful and she has such a true servant's heart to care for our family.

Ellie was so excited about the snow that came our way! She had to get right out to catch the first flakes. The snow was less than what was expected but we are looking forward to another winter storm this week and Ellie can hardly wait!

Enjoying waffles and a little homemade hot cocoa on our snow day!
